Box Office opens April 30 for ‘Love, Sex, and the IRS’

The Box Office opens to the public on April 30 to take reservations for  Love, Sex and the I.R.S., a  farce written by William Van Zandt and Jane Milmore.  We promise laughter as every turn. Call 419-238-9689 from 2 – 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday.  If you get the voicemail, leave your name and number and a volunteer will call you back. (Note 419-239-9929 IS NOT OUR BOX OFFICE.  This line rings inside the theatre is is not monitored for calls).

Director Randy Wieging, a master at choreographing shows of this genre, has assembled a stellar cast which includes Doug Grooms and Steve Lane in the lead roles as roommates who find themselves in hot water with the I.R.S. Amy McConn takes on the role of the girlfriend – though whose girlfriend she is, continues to be of question. Chad Kraner will play the part of the I.R.S. agent who comes to review the tax return but never seems to leave, interjecting himself into the lives of complete strangers. Yours truly was given the role of the overbearing and habitually inebriated mother bent on getting her son married at any cost. The cast is completed with Stan Lippi as the nosy and annoyingly moral landlord and Audra Mohler as the overlooked, yet eager girlfriend.  And as if all that was not enough, in comes Trent Gossett, the mysterious man whose intentions are unclear.  Amy Boley has assisted Randy with the show.

The show runs May 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 with  performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees on May 6 and 13 at  2 p.m. At only $13 per ticket, you’ll not find a better value for an evening of entertainment. Support your local community theatre and make plans to spend some time with us.
