Auditions set for Little Shop of Horrors


auditions (2)Auditions for the musical Little Shop of Horrors will be February 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. by Director Chad Kraner. This musical has lead roles for men and women as well as numerous chorus roles. Music Director Dee Fisher asks anyone auditioning to come prepared to sing 90 seconds or less from a song that showcases your vocal abilities. Accompaniment will be provided. Show dates are May 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12. There are plenty of opportunities for anyone who wants to be in a show.  Questions can be directed to Chad at  

Synopsis: Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after the coworker he secretly loves. Little does he know that this strange and unusual plant will develop a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth, and an unquenchable thirst for human blood. As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the carnivorous plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour, as long as he continues providing a fresh supply of blood. Just when it’s too late, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s extra-terrestrial origins and his true drive for world domination.

Orin Scrivello: Supporting role, male Audrey’s dentist boyfriend– tall, dark, handsome, and sadistic.
Voice of Audrey II: Male.
The Plant Audrey II: Non-speaking. This is the puppeteer for the full-scale plant. Needs to be physically able to lift and move the plant.
Crystal, Ronette, and Chiffon: Supporting female. The Greek chorus of the show.
