A cat plays the fiddle; the cow jumps over the moon while the little dog laughs; and the dish runs away with the spoon…but then what? A group of storytellers are challenged to continue the story of the dish and the spoon from Hey Diddle Diddle. The tales that they spin find the dish and spoon fleeing from the Abominable Snowman, encountering the witch from Hansel and Gretel, becoming spies, and even fighting bad sushi. All ages will love watching this funny play.
Director Monica Campbell has assembled a cast of youth to bring this tale to life. ALL AGES WILL ENJOY THIS ONE-HOUR SHOW. Performance dates are July 29 and 30 at 7:30 PM and July 31 at 2 PM at the Van Wert Civic Theatre. Tickets are available online at vwct.org or by calling 419-238-9689.
